​Governance of Preston Baseball Club Inc
​
Preston Baseball Club is governed by a Board of Directors of up to ten who are elected annually at the Club's Annual General Meeting as set out in the Club's Constitution ratified by the Members in 2016 and amended by the Members at a Special General Meeting in 2022 .
​
The Board has established Portfolios for each Director and Board Committees to bring focus to the function of each Director and to provide opportunities for members of the Preston Pirates Baseball Club Community to become involved in attracting, training and retaining players and families to the Club.

Myles Foreman
PRESIDENT
Myles Foreman was elected Club President in July 2021.
He was reelected for a further two year term at the 2023 AGM which expires in 2025.
He previously held various roles on the Club Committee and Junior Committee including Vice President before resigning to join the Board of Baseball Victoria in 2013 where he served for 8 years including the last 6 as President stepping down in April 2021. During that time, he was a member of the Baseball Australia Council and represented Baseball Victoria on the Victorian Olympic Committee. He also worked closely with the Australian Baseball League and Melbourne Aces.
In 2012 Myles was presented with the Jean Fowler Club Award.
Myles has extensive Baseball contacts across the USA having managed international touring teams for a number of years and assisted a number of players secure opportunities at Colleges in the USA.
His eldest son played junior and senior baseball as well as coaching at Preston until leaving to study and play baseball in the USA in 2018 graduating in 2023 and staying in the USA.
His youngest son currently plays with Preston.

VICE PRESIDENT
Nicole Lynch
VICE PRESIDENT
Nicole Lynch was elected to the Board in August 2021 and was reelected in July 2022 at the AGM to the position of Vice President. Two year term expires AGM 2024.

At the July 2022 AGM Nicole was elected one of two Vice Presidents.
Nicole has been involved with Preston Baseball since 2019.
Though fairly new to baseball, Nicole’s passion for the game is apparent.
​
Since 2019 Nicole has been an assistant coach for Club's Little League team and was a member of the Junior Subcommittee in 2020.
​
Nicole’s son plays baseball at the club as a member of the Little League team.
Within a year the Pirates are hoping to recruit her daughter to the Tee-Ball program.

Kirsty Davis
SECRETARY
Kirsty was re-elected to the Board in July 2021 to the role of Secretary and was reelected in July 2022 at the AGM to the position of Secretary. Two year term expires AGM 2024.
Kirsty has been playing baseball for over 20 years, starting out in women’s with 4 premierships under her belt. Then Kirsty played men’s and masters when old enough. A long standing player, coach and Committee Member at the Club Kirsty played in the inaugural Preston women’s team and in the senior men’s teams. Kirsty has also been involved for many years with the Twins Charter Committee (Representing Preston).
Her 2 children also play at Preston moving through the junior ranks and now playing seniors. Kirsty has enjoyed being able to play alongside both her boys in the seniors.

Kirsty was Awarded Life Membership of the Club in 2023.
Michael O'Brien
TREASURER
Michael O'Brien was elected Club Treasurer in July 2021.
He did not stand for reelection when his term concluded in July 2023.
He continued to assist the Club and was appointed to fill a casual vacancy by the Board.

In 2020/21 he was awarded the Jean Fowler Junior Club Person Award and in 2022/23 he was awarded the Jimmy Stewart Senior Club Person Award.
Michael has been involved with Preston Baseball since 2019 and during this time has assisted in creating the Junior Sub-Committee and held the Secretary position. He also provided support, as an
assistant coach, for the U14 and U16 teams. In 2020 he made his long-awaited baseball playing debut, with 2 games!!
His son played for Preston and his wife plays on the Women’s team.

Brian Sinfield
DIRECTOR
Brian was re-elected the second of two Vice Presidents in July 2021 and was reelected in July 2022 at the AGM as a Director. Two year term expires AGM 2024.
Brian first became involved with baseball at the age of 12. He played and coached in State Winter Rep teams at Junior and Senior levels. Brian has been a Preston Pirates committee member for 13 years. During his time at Preston Brian has coached up and down the Junior ranks over that expanse of time.
Brian was Awarded Life Membership of the Club in 2020.
Louise Longo
DIRECTOR
Louise was elected to the board in August 2023 .
Two year term expires AGM 2025.
Marianne Foreman
DIRECTOR
Marianne was appointed by the Board to fill a Casual Vacancy in August 2023 .
